1) We seem to play better in the second half. A LOT better.
2) OK St's two big players reminded me a lot of that one uo player who's name I can't remember. Not overly tall, but have 20+ pounds over anyone on the court, and use that weight to just push people out of the way with their bodies. (Not a slam on their weight. Anyone who knows me knows I have ZERO room to bag on someone's weight!)
3) Apparently in OK scoring 4 points in a row is a "on a run."
4) Too bad they couldn't get some neutral announcers for the games. (See #3. Homer announcers... <sigh>) Of course with what looked like several hundred people in attendance, I can't see where any revenue is coming from.
5) Earlier in the season I was concerned about this year's team. They just didn't seem as good on the court as they were on paper. They have gotten better. Lots better. This is going to be a good season. They're going to kick some butts. This is going to be fun!

I feel the same way. EVERYONE contributed ! Nice win ladies. Especially nice to see when Sydney decides to take over and to see Pivec playing such composed, smart ball on both ends of the court. Also very impressed with Bre and Gabby and Marie. Coming together nicely.

Three games in three days takes its toll. The girls were gassed and it showed, especially in the second half.

On a night when the refs were "letting em play" it was good to see Bre and Marie step up to the challenge against OkSt's formidable bigs. I really like Bre's game and think that as good as she is she's still got a lot of upside to develop.

Pivec in the starting lineup seems to really open things up for everyone and has allowed Pivec to get in the flow of the game and show a very complete offensive arsenal.

Not disagreeing necessarily but Mikayla and Syd looked like Energizer easy shots out there. Both teams were tired, but OK St. more so. That helped the Beavs pull away in the end. We saw the same thing in the South Florida-UNLV game. South Florida looked good.

1). I would rather be a more effective team in the 2nd half than the 1st. I think it shows tons of positive attributes. Coaching, adjustments, poise, awreness. A team can come out on an emotional high for whatever reason in any given game. Great teams are able to close the deal in the 2nd half.
3). I literally looked at that comment and thought "What the hell!? 4 pt run...spread over 2 qtrs? Whatevere."
5). Completely agree

I agree, I'm excited about Pivec. I was disappointed in Gulich's game. She had a hard time finishing plays and let several passes come out of her hands ending up as turnovers. I guess we were spoiled with Ruth over the last 4 years. I feel like if our bigs can continue to develop their offensive game so they are real threats inside it'll REALLY open up the offense because we definitely have several gals who can score from all over the court. Love me some Rueck basketball!!
Go Beavs!

I rode the elevator down with the S. Florida coach. He said their plan was to end up playing the Beavers, but they were "humbled" the first game by a young team (LB State) that "thought they were better than they were." It was kind of an odd comment, but he finished with "That's the beauty of college basketball." He had a lot of nice things to say about our coach.
