Bring the ball up the floor. Stop and pound it. Pass it to a guy who either stands and holds it, then pounds it. Everyone else stands and watches. Rinse and repeat. It finally became unwatchable and I switched to a mediocre book.

When he came in he was able to coach the holdovers into a presentable team. it seems to me that he has very little influence over the guys he recruited himself. I find this baffling. It is as if he expects them to figure it out for themselves. Back to basics, big guy.

Not saying CR (maybe assts) is neccessarily better, but from the current evidence only those under the old regime learned or accepted coaching in team concepts. WT will forever get credit for breaking the streak, but it may have been due more to circumstances of that particular season and GPII becoming more aggressive than any real coaching influence. Without those holdovers we are "supposedly" more talented, yet looked like a pick up game at the Y.

Wasn't this Craig Robinson's trajectory also, took less talented hold overs and won the CBI (not big dance but still playing better than talent). Those first two years the offense looked like a team offense, based on the Princeton offense. Then in comes your recruits, with better talent and the offense looks a shambles. Maybe the key is not getting as raw of talent but playing team basketball.......or change coaches every 3 years?
