We have the worst talent in the Pac-12, even when healthy. But if you were a recruit who had multiple offers from Pac-12 schools would you choose to play for this program? Of course not - unless of course your dad is one of the coaches. I am afraid last year it took a once in a generation aligning of the stars to break a 25 year drought. The way it looks now I can't see that happening again anytime soon.

Posters have been drooling over those guys for a year [Reichle, a bit less]. Can't have it both ways -- top notch recruits when they sign, bums and pretenders while they're learning the ropes. But then, you'd have nothing to justify grabbing your head, running through the night, screaming "The sky is falling!" It'll be alright. Relax, man up, and cheer on your [Possibly] team.

As is the (sad) case with many seasonal sports at OSU, it becomes a matter of WAIT. Regarding the current MBB situation, we're lucky to have two 'wait' options. Short-term: wait until the next WBB game. Longer term: baseball starts in about 2 months. Bring it on !!

It might be alright, but I seriously doubt it will be this year. Very precipitous drop off! WT spoiled us. When he was named HC, we knew it would take awhile to turn things around. But then, he got us to The Dance in year two. He raised expectations. A number of posters [No, not baseball1111. I'd never accuse him of this] started talking as though we'd be a high seed in the Tourney. That's not happening. So like a child who just learned that Santa Claus isn't real, they cried out in pain. "How dare they!," they scream. I was already bragging to my friends about MY team. Well, sports fans, it was always a 4-5 year rebuilding process. We are in year three. Doesn't matter what you wanted. This is podunk U. Not UCLA/USC/UW/Cal/Stanford with their large TV markets, lively urban areas, or rich fan bases. We're not going to recruit a half dozen 5-stars to make us, immediately, competitive. So, relax; support this team because you're Beaver Believers.

It might be alright, but I seriously doubt it will be this year. Very precipitous drop off! WT spoiled us. I think it was GP II that spoiled us. Tinkle caught a break with a legacy/Robinson recruit. Feels like Anderson years when he inherited GP from Ralph and went to NCAAs. After GP left the drop-off occurred. Same here, but a much bigger drop-off.

After GP left the drop-off occurred. Same here, but a much bigger drop-off. Tinkle's Mariota? Was at the game yesterday and holy crap are we bad. I remember why I stopped watching the games this year. There is no way we should be THIS bad. Getting worked by a mediocre WCC team. There is zero leadership on the floor. They all look lost. I do like McLaughlin, I think he'll be a good player, but the other new guards are not getting it done. Some of their shooting was just dreadful. Also disappointed in Stevie, he just seemed to be drifting around, didn't take the lead or initiative. I think he's a good complimentary player when you have someone like a GPII, but when he should have been out there leading the troops that wasn't getting done. Anyways, they looked absolutely terrible. I normally make it to Corvallis for a couple of games and I don't see that happening this year. Probably not even going to watch. I went to every home game during the 0-18 conference year, so I've paid my dues to skip out mentally on a season. Hopefully they'll get better over the course of the season, otherwise a repeat of that feat might be in the cards.

Look at the bright side, when home games are televised we will get a great look at the newly installed seats.
