Matt Moore just made a lot of money tonight. So fun to watch him do so well. Will see how rest of season goes, but have to think he'll be in the league somehow for years to come.
Go Matt!

Has he ever actually done poorly in a game after his first season or two? It seems to me he's bailed out a few clubs when their "number 1" went down, often outperforming the starter. I think he's finished the season as starter with a couple teams. It'd be nice if he got a long term shot as a starter at some point.

He's been with the phins for years. Was their MVP in '11. Good, solid, prepared veteran. Go Matt!

They both are good enough that they don't just keep things from falling apart with a starter down. Matt is as good or better than many "starters" in the league.

MM is doomed to be a career back up. Period. Was a free agent rookie and has had to deal with a "hot draftee" QB every place he has been. He has ALWAYS been better than Tannehill but fish has too much moolah invested in him not to start him. It's why they suck.

It is nice he speaks fondly of his time at OSU... the students, fans and the student paper were brutal to him in 2005... that "edgy" sports writer for the barometer dubbed him "Frosty" due to his bleached tips when he played.

I am just guessing, but I would think the brutal treatment he received in 2005 was mild compared to UCLA before he transferred. Which, would also help us to understand how fond he is of Oregon State even if by our standards he wasn't always warmly received in 2005. I always like Moore. He was definitely a popular favorite in 2006.

I have to believe he endured far worse at OSU. Also I believe the signs came out midway through his SENIOR year (2006). I believe the backup in 2005 was Gundy. I recall a TV interview midway through his senior year where he mentioned that he was not having much fun... thankfully something clicked and OSU started winning a ton of games. Sorry to disagree in the end but if Matt Moore or DA never said a kind word about OSU I would not hold it against either of them. They certainly did not receive the benefit of the doubt from the Reser faithful during their time in Corvallis.

He was definitely a popular favorite in 2006. Actually I think he endured the most pressure in the Washington St game in 2006. The huge fire Riley and Canfield sign in the stands were NOT beaver fans finest hour. To be fair though things were looking pretty brutal at that point. Moore had lead the nations in interceptions the year before and we started 2-3. The turnaround in that season in some ways makes it my favorite Beaver season ever. Even more so than 2000. The 2006 season had some absolutely amazing moments. Breaking USC 27 game pac-10 win streak, wining nail biting games at the wire against Oregon and Hawaii, and then running it up the gut by Bernard for 2 in the final seconds to win the bowl game against Missouri.

I tend to believe that the VAST majority of the "Reser faithful" were behind Matt and DA. IMO, there was a small VOCAL minority that had it out for them. Just like there is in any fan base.

I did not put any effort in recalling or thinking about the information. I was mostly recalling fondly how 2006 ended and from his statements in the article it appears Moore is thinking the same way. My assumption about more pressure at UCLA only had to do with it being in L.A. and the media attention with that and the fact that he left that situation.
