Whichever of the eight teams competing in the inaugural Play4Kay Shootout women's basketball tournament in Las Vegas next week (December 19-21) that emerges with three wins and a tournament title will be a quality team. Two squads (#22 in the AP Poll South Florida at 7-0 and Oklahoma State at 8-0) come into the tournament with perfect records this season. Two others ( Oregon State at 7-1 and UNLV at 8-1) have one blemish each on their records. The other four tourney teams are Quinnipiac (7-2), New Mexico State (7-3), Long Beach State (6-4), and Santa Clara (4-3). The Beavs' first round opponent, UNLV, beat USC by 11 last month. Oklahoma State has beaten WSU by 7 this season. The Beavs open play on Monday, December 19 at 8 pm PST in the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas against UNLV. The winner of the Beavers-Rebels game plays the winner of New Mexico State-Quinnipac game on Tuesday, December 20 at 8 pm. Unbeatens South Florida and Oklahoma State are in the opposite half of the bracket (see first link below). The tournament championship game is also slated for 8 pm on Wednesday, December 21. The three-game guarantee of the tournament will provide a good opportunity for Beaver coaches and fans to assess the progress and conference competition readiness of the team as PAC-12 play approaches on December 30 against WSU in Corvallis. The Beavs play in the fourth and final game of the day at 8:00 pm PST in the inaugural Play4Kay Shootout in Vegas. The new T-Mobile Arena, the hosting site of the tourney, opened in April 2016 and will be a great venue for hosting basketball collegiate tournaments going forward.
FOLLOW ALONG: A live stream of the game will be available at OSUBeavers.com, and fans can find live audio online via TuneIn or on the Beaver Radio Network with Ron Callan. Live stats will also be available.
Go Beavs!

beavershoopsfan thanks for the updates. This sounds like a first class tournament and, like you said the winner will be a very good team. Great preparation for our team and hopefully we can get some Ws. If you are headed down to watch, we'd love to see some posts from a fan's perspective. Go Beavs!!!!

I'm actually watching the Quinnipiac- New Mexico St game on my computer. I typed Quinnipiac Womens basketball schedule and on their website it says "WATCH" and it works. No registering or anything.
