with Aydon and Craig , Hungalu at middle backer next years D is looking Stout in the middle. question is will the 3-4 allow both Aydon and Craig in together? Thats a good wall. If Evans is good as advertised that's two stopper DTs. You can't teach that kind of strength.

This is the kind of pick up that can make the difference in the push to be a bowl team in 2017. A stouter DL, little beefier ILBs, and we are in pretty good shape on defense. We improved our scoring defense by a TD a game. 37 to 30. if we take that same incremental step, and are hanging around 24 or so PPG (in otherwords, an average to a little above average defense) matched with another incremental step in scoring offense, I think we have real hope at that 6-7 win point. |

Great get with Evans. I think the cherry on top will be getting both JUCO DBs. Already have one, just need the other. That secondary took a hit losing Decoud and Chappell.

getting Evans is even bigger now that all of the Juco DBs selected other schools. Pressure up front can mask a lot of deficiencies in the back.
