That's a good article. Much more of the tone I hoped for/expected to hear all along. Somewhat confusing if you look back, so maybe I should only look forward.

Eggers floating the idea that we might move Nall out of his running back position hurts a little. I get the theory here: You have talented RBs, so spread out the talent to other positions. However, I'm not a big fan of moving the one guy that Beaver Nation unaninimously got excited about watching run the football.

I think the Oregon State 2 deeps through the spring and early fall will be like the weather... If you don't like it just wait a practice or two and it will change significantly.

Great article, had my moments this year especially when watching the horrific tackling and no score offense but looking at the players we are going after and getting interest from I can't help but believe better things are coming.

Very interesting read. I'm glad GA is still enthused about the rebuild of the Beavs. I was worried that he might have been regretting coming to OSU, but that definitely doesn't sound like that's the case. I do think that we should see an uptick next year, but I'm convinced we will see the first real competitive team in the 2017 season. It's the fact that the staff is getting some really nice commits (although nothing is safe until signing day) this year during an UGLY season. Anyone who gets a kid to commit after visiting the UCLA game is a first rate salesman!!! HORRIBLE rain and a 41-0 beatdown and you still think "Hey, this is the place for me!", well that's a great sign. I'll be there tomorrow in the cold and wind supporting the poor seniors and hoping for just a competitive game. Here's to better things to come guys! GO BEAVS!

Interesting comment about naming a starting qb in the spring. If it ends up being Garretson that's going to be pretty telling. This has been a tough year, but I'm really convinced better days are coming. It's interesting looking at where the numbers of offensive vs defensive players are on the roster now. I was never very sold on the idea of having huge numbers of O lineman like we did under coach Cav.

This last year was the first in a long time we had lots of O linemen for spring and fall practic, often there were posters complaining we didn't have enough. As it was we had a lot of retirements on the line this last off season.
