So how does it even work??...are there 5 star baseball players? 4 star ? Or what? I read the recruiting news and I see nothing of how good they are, just stats, no ratings! I think they need to start grading these high school baseball kids from 1-5 stars cuz the last couple years the Beavers baseball hasn't don't good enough advance to the playoffs...

Beavs in tournament 2005-2007, 2009-2015. Missed two years in twelve - got screwed one of those.
Me think Beavers don't good.

Most of the time, what they show is where the players are, if they are good enough, in the top 50, 100, 300, 500 in the nation in general, and then their rating by position. No stars, but you don't need to be a math wiz to get the gist of how good a class is in any given year. |

There is probably more reliable information about how good HS baseball players are than HS football players. Perfect Game and Baseball America have been around for some time ranking HS players. Any kid with major talent is going to be followed by MLB scouts pretty closely. D1baseball is another group that ranks recruiting classes.
The info is out there if you really want it.
