next season. It will suck losing some key players (defenders especially) but there is a ton of good experience coming back. The incoming class (if it stays in tact and adds some more players) could be a great addition and help to add some depth. I really hope the QB situation gets figured out and the best guy leads this team with consistency. Really hope guys like Paul Lucas and Trevon Bradford find their niche and become solid/consistent contributors. Hopefully Collins makes a full recovery and continues to improve as well. Having Noah Togiai back will add a dimension to the passing game but don't forget, Quinn Smith (good size) is a transfer that will play next season and there was also Freshman Kenny Turnier also at the TE position. It will be interesting to see if he (KT) stays at TE?! The running game should be very good (assuming the O Line gets some continuity early). There will be some very talented backs at least with good experience! Defensively, the LB corps should fill out with some great depth and there should be some great starters. Interested to see how/if Isaac Garcia turns out?! I'm very interested to see how the DBs do as a group. The Safeties will be a question mark. Arnold, Landry Payne (if he recovers) and J Moore seem to be the main guys right now. Still lacking depth (until we see who comes in with this next class). Corners.... Crawford, Irvine, Williams...Wallace? Will he be ready? Will he be converted to Safety? The other guy that sounds interesting is incoming freshman David Morris. Could he play right away to add depth at S? As far as the D Line, if they can get several guys that are 300+lbs (athletic/active) that can rotate in and be interchangeable between NT and the DE positions, we'll be in good shape up front. Hopefully Pritchard can get up to 300 and maintain his athleticism. Would be nice to get a JUCO or two that can help out in the trenches and with rotation.
Lot to look forward to. There are some question marks but a lot less than there were going into the '16 season.
Go Beavs!
