Only two real choices for where he’d start next year: AA or AAA, and it probably doesn’t really matter. As long as he pitches well, he’ll make it to AAA by mid-season. Whether he makes it to MLB in 2017 is another question altogether. He’s not currently on the 40-man-roster, which is fine for a guy who doesn’t HAVE to be yet. Even with the success Moore is having, to get something more than a September call-up will probably require the right combination of MLB-rotation issues for the Ms, Moore CLEARLY being better than other Minor Leaguers already on the Ms 40-man-roster, and possibly a little luck. Even to get a September call-up is going to require Moore to continue to have success, and look the part of a guy who is worthy of booting another guy off the current 40-man roster. The PCL has a reputation of being an extreme hitter’s league. If Moore can keep the ERA below 4.00 in that league and post a respectable strikeout rate, I think it would have to be considered a positive season for him, even if he doesn’t get an MLB call-up. (I didn't watch the podcast, so I apologize if I re-stated anything).

Andrew... watch/listen/learn in ST.. hang out @ AA, work on a quality 3rd pitch you can throw for a strike in any count, keep the innings/pitch counts down, work on varying your pick/moves to 1st... get a sniff of AAA...
Then make a run at the 40 man next year as a more complete pitcher vs several in the M's roster that are throwers only.
Don't be in a rush...
