Supposed to be 3-0 and we're 3-0. Young guys getting significant time and experience under their belts... Getting closer and closer to even more depth on the interior. I'm actually excited to see what Reid brings to the table this season given his improvement last year...
UCSB up next. 1-1 with an 18 pt loss to Cal and a 1 pt win over Nebraska-Omaha. Let's get another road win fellas.

Last night wasn't as pretty, defensive lapses and poor FT shooting again. But a win is a win and a win on the road didn't happen too frequently last year!
I will sure take it!
It is nice to see a team of shooters for once. 52% from the field and 45% behind the arc. I will take it!

I'll take an ugly road win for sure. Tomorrow should be another tough one, will be some tired legs I imagine. Then we have to turn right around a play a very good Valpo team.

Any road win is a good win. So far no stumbling into L's even if we sometimes stumble into W's...LOL!

Looking at the current team pragmatically, they are missing 3 of the 7 guys that made them go last year when they were playing really well - two of those are injured, one is gone from the team. So basically, this team has to operate with frosh filling in those gaps to be on par with last year (assuming no improvement on the returners). And that's basically what we're seeing - the frosh are generally better scorers, but make more a lot more mistakes and don't defend as well (yet). Taking off my orange glasses, road wins still being tough against mediocre teams is not surprising.

No one else really went to the line that much.

To be fair, I believe the line was -7.5 OSU. not sure it was really that ugly. But, I will also be honest and say I was at kids school thing until late, and didn't watch most of it... so I really can't say much other than what I gather from the box score and write ups. I do know that we let them shoot better than we let most people shoot and we missed to many FTs again. I know our shooting percents looked good. But other than that, I really dunno. A win is a win! I am curious as to why Eubank had relatively few minutes. I saw 3 fouls... Big G had a bunch more minutes than he had in the past...

Eubanks picked up his first two fouls 7 minutes in and sat the rest of the first half. Picked up his third right away in the 2nd half. Coach seemed to stick with Tres and Olaf down the stretch to protect the lead. The one I was wondering about was Thompson. Only 13 minutes. Hit a couple of 3's and looked pretty good, but sat most of the 2nd half. Must be a defensive thing.

They hit 3 s like crazy in the last 10 min. Yes, we should defend better but sometimes the bad guys hit some shots. GO BEAVS!
