It isn't good for the rest of us when USC or UW gets a good coach. Been saying that for years...

Agreed. I just thank the good lord the friggin schmucks didn't sign Pete when they promoted Helfrich. It's bad enough udub got him. If it was hole it would be a freakin travesty....

Washington under Coach Pete will be a great program for sure, but It won't be USC/Carroll or Ohio State/Meyer and certainly not Bama/Saban.
IMO it will be more Stanfordish, with a different style of play of course.

You guys are buying high.
They have some exceptional players this year. Buddha Baker for one, will be in the NFL a long time. Players cycle in and out and the level of play drops off. Petersen is a good coach and not an ahole but what happens when they get their doors blown off by BAMA and then get ranked top 4 in preseason and then next year not do quite as well? Still not sure what the fascination with trick plays is by the guy when they have their foot on the throat. Big boys run it down their throat and don't let up.

I dunno, unlike Hawkins, he has now had great success at two places. and at UW, he didn't step in and inherit a champion team (Helfrich?) he built his Pac-12 champion, and likely playoff team. He took an average team (7-8 wins) and built it. Petersen is a get, and UW is a deep pocket school at a great location. UW owns the North for the foreseeable future.
