Following a one-point home loss to Marquette, the now-#24 Beavers travel to Maui to play games against Idaho (December 2) and BYU (December 3). I can think of plenty of worse locations to try to regroup as a team and bounce back during the nonconference schedule. The latest Associated Press women's basketball poll continues to highlight the early season success of PAC-12 women's hoops teams. Five PAC-12 teams appear in the Top 25: UCLA (10), Stanford (11), Washington (13), Colorado (a new addition at 21), and Oregon State (24). Also receiving votes are #27 Oregon, #28, Arizona State, and #34 California. Eight teams total in the top 34 teams receiving votes in the Week #4 poll. The PAC-12 conference is simply loaded once again for women's basketball. collegebasketball.ap.org/ap-womens-basketball-poll-week-4

The Beavers arrived in Maui yesterday. Two days of practices prior to taking on Idaho on Friday night. Great opportunity for the Beavers to take care of business and enjoy what Hawaii has to offer.

Idaho will also provide some more room for some compare / contrast relevant to our schedule: The have beaten SeattleU and Cal-State Fullerton (both away games), and lost by a bucket or two to Grand Canyon U and Northern Iowa, and got boat raced (53-105) by Washington.... They also will play the school down the road Christmas week...
Between the UDub score and how the team likely feels after Marquette, I would hope for a one-sided game - but being in Hawaii, long layover between games, hangover from the loss could all conspire against us. We play BYU the following night, so I would think we will go deep into our bench if possible (anyone know if Kalmer is available for this game?), unfortunately no TV/streaming access.....
Go Beavs!
