Fun thread! For me: -Married -4 children including twins going from 2 to 4. -1 career change. -The passing of 2 grandparents. -4 houses. -1 move. I think that covers it.

The last time the Beavs won The Civil War, the president-elect was a Democrat. Just an observation and not a political statement. Thanks Obama! There was no president-elect in 2007. I swear I just read a story in the last day or two that correlated republican president elects to OSU wins and Democrat president elects to uo wins going back to the 80's at least. Can't find it now though.

Can't find it now though. Kind of tough in a non-election year to have a president-elect. As in 2008 and 2012 Obama was president elect and the dux won... 2000 and 2004 Bush was President elect and the Beavs won... this year the president elect is a republican and the Beavs won... not sure how far it goes back but the article was about that. An earlier poster said Obama was president elect in '07, which was incorrect... Guess he got credit for something he didn't do, happens a lot with politicians.

Opened my own successful Guitar Store. I have been divorced. Lost 25 lbs, began hiking and have done 16 miles out and 1 mile up in less than 6 hours, and reduced my standing heart rate from 76 to 50. My mom passed to join my dad. Discovered premium box Merlot. Met my soul mate

An earlier poster said Obama was president elect in '07, which was incorrect... Guess he got credit for something he didn't do, happens a lot with politicians. Unless someone else posted it, I put up a post about it. Democrats won the election in 1992, 1996, 2008, and 2012, all Oregon wins. Republicans won the election in 1988, 2000, 2004, and 2016, all Oregon State wins. Elections also seem to point to the team that wins in the four Civil Wars following the election, as well. Since 1988, Oregon is 14-2 (.875) after a Democrat wins the election. Oregon State is 8-5 (.615) in the four years after a Republican wins the election. I called and related this tidbit to my brother during the Civil War. He, in his condition, naturally started to yell, "Make Oregon State great again!" Of course, that only dates back to 1988. A generally forgotten fact is that Oregon was a part of the Republican's "Red Wall" from 1968-1984, voting for a Republican in each of those five presidential elections. Dating back to 1980, the Ducks have won every Civil War after the candidate the that the State of Oregon backs won the election. The Beavers have won every Civil War, where the State of Oregon's top vote-getter loses the election. And there is the same correlation in the four years after the election, Oregon going 7-0-1 in the eight Civil Wars from 1980-1987. Since 1980, Oregon is 21-2-1 (.896) in the four years after the winner of Oregon garners more electoral votes.

How could I forget the most important part? I discovered/joined Pure Orange in July 2008. So during the last Civil War, I knew nothing of any of you!

Oh, the porch could have been legendary this year. Not necessarily in a good way.
