So apparently the Prairie View MBB game this Friday is on Pac-12 Networks....or so our schedule says. I go to set up a recording of it on Dish and figure out it is on Pac-12 Oregon, and now we get the national channel on Dish. (I am in Oregon, with Dish America Top 250).
How do I get Pac-12 Oregon on Dish? Do I need to watch on the internet?
Thanks! Go Beavs!

I'm in the same boat and we don't get PAC-12 Oregon for some reason. Really pisses me off! They can take about 240 of those 250 channels and shove it as far as I am concerned. Looks like it is the internet or nothing and with my 1.2 speed (best I can get out here in the sticks) it does not come in very well either. Ugh. Thanks for the opportunity to vent. lol

The Dish Network dropped the pac 12 regional channels from their satellite system before last year. They used to broadcast the pac 12 oregon channel on one of the alternates. They just decided not to carry the regional networks and just broadcast the national channel. Hell, I would pay them extra to get the regional networks. Someone had said in the past that it doesn't cost them anymore to broadcast the regional networks. It would only use up channel space. Out of the goodness of their hearts, Dish gave everyone the big ten network and the sec network. I would rather have the pac 12 regionals than be given those two channels for no extra charge. What makes it worse you can't access the regionals online unless your provider carries the regional network in your area. So, basically Dish Network subscribers are screwed.

Thanks for the responses. So, in summary, if you subscribe to the satellite provider that the Pac-12 touted as this wonderful deal in the state of Oregon, you can't get the Oregon content of the Pac-12 network. Great. Another reason to be underwhelmed by the stewardship of Larry "all hat, no cattle" Scott.

I don't think it was a pac 12 decision but was solely a decision by Dish Network not to carry the regional networks. There obviously isn't a requirement from the pac 12 to carry the regionals if you carry the national network. It should be but it isn't.

Having 245 useless channels and paying more? Why? Try it free for a week and cancel at any time.
