If Sean Mannion has any confidence left after that idiot Fisher has shown him NONE, he is a much bigger man than I am. Please, L.A....trade him....OR...fire that IDIOT Jeff Fisher. Good lord.

Mannion was finished in LA as soon as Goff was drafted. They have no choice but to let the Goff thing play out for a couple years. I hope Mannion gets a chance somewhere.

Mannion was finished in LA as soon as the Rams traded away a boatload of draft picks for the chance to draft Goff (or Wentz or whoever).

The best thing for him might be some temporary unemployment. Convince the Rams to only keep two QB's (Keenum and Goff) and cut (or better yet, sign to the Practice Squad) Mannion.
Remember a few years ago when Sean Canfield was with the Saints? Bouncing between the Practice Squad and being cut many times during multiple seasons?
I've got to think that as well as Mannion represented himself during the pre-season, some team desperate for help at QB (like Cleveland or Chicago), or some team with a tired journeyman at #2 would give him a shot. I'd love to see him on my Seahawks, but I don't see him as the mobile type Pete Carroll likes.

The Rams are probably letting Keenum walk this offseason and will go to war with Goff/Canfield. He may get his shot then. I feel bad for the guy, he's stuck in pergatory. Although the Rams O-line play has been horrendous this year so I don't know that he'd be doing any better than Keenum right now.

The o-line is awful, the WRs are average at best - a couple of games I watched, Keenum's TOs were a result of WRs not being in the right spot. They gave a ton of money to Tavon Austin who is good for one nice fly sweep and a long highlight TD every 6 weeks. I don't think SM would fare much better. There will be opportunities for Sean elsewhere down the road.

Worse ways you can spend 4 years, and earn over $3 million holding a clipboard and learning the NFL, and not getting you body broken... But that said, Mannion will stay in LA 4 years. Keenum is done this offseason. he only has a one year contract. Goff and Mannion will be the 1-2. at the end of Mannion's 4 years, he will likely have suitors in other places. He has always impressed for his station (I.E decent preseason as a rookie, looked greatly improved as a second year player). Mannion is spending all this time running the scout team, continuing It is true that with Drafting Goff, Mannion no longer had a fair shake at starting, and he will not get a fair shake barring injury. But as we all saw with Dak Prescott, all it takes is a chance.

Next Year - I have a hard time seeing any NFL team carrying second and third year QBs with very little to no experience (Goff yr 2 and Mannion yr 3) as 1 and 2 on the depth chart. This is why journeymen such as Keenum and Hoyer continue to populate rosters.
