Am I the only dummy following the Blazers right now? Being a Beav/Raiders fan, I'm pivoting to hoops earlier than usual I guess.
Anyhow, rookie draft pick Clingan looks like he's going to be an absolute monster. 17 pts 12 reb 8 blocks vs Minnesota the other night.
If I squint, Shaedon Sharpe is the next big thing.
Interestingly enough, they have been pretty dang good (addition by subtraction) with Anfernee Simons and Deandre Ayton out the last couple games. Would love it if they unloaded those 2 and let the young core develop.
They are still sloppy and play like a young team but last few games have been exciting to watch.

Who are these “Blazers “ you speak of ? The inability in the last 10 years to watch them on Dish network has completely destroyed my interest in them. Does Billy Ray Bates still play for them ?

Every couple of years or so I think I’ll start following again. The NBA game just feels like it’s gone more towards entertainment than a competitive sport at this point. I just can’t get into it anymore.

I just can’t get into it anymore. I mean I’m not sure I’d call whatever that was against Air Force a competitive sport… but I get it. |

Been a Blazers fan for almost 50 years. It's had some rough patches but currently interested in their fortunes.

They certainly have a different (better?) look than the last couple of years. The only thing that would keep Clingan from winning rookie of the year would be playing time, especially when Ayton comes back. Hopefully they do make the playoffs so Chicago can finally get the first round pick since the Covington trade, and the Blazers would be freed up to trade future first round picks if necessary.
