BYU and WSU probably eliminated from a wildcard selection with losses last night. Now if they can just get the someone to knock off Boise State the committee can add some 2 and 3 loss teams and have their Big 10/SEC invitational without being bothered too much by the unworthy

WSU is definitely out. If Boise wins their conference, they’re still getting in.

Oregon State needs to finish off Wazzu at Reser on Saturday.

Welp Boise State moves into top 4. Will be interesting if they move them down behind Big 12 champ after championship weekend, especially if Big 12 champ has 2 losses.
SMU can also create some chaos if they win out. Could leap from not invited to #3 and first round bye.
Texas A&M too could really throw the SEC into chaos.
Can't wait to hear #13, 14, and 15 bitch

They lose a game and Army passes them, they could completely be out, assuming someone from the Big 12 moves up. Would love to see Boise and Army win out and the Big 12 completely left out of the playoffs.

We all realize these CFP polls aren't final, but if you're the 4th highest ranked conference champ, you are #4 where it actually counts... in the CFP.
Being #4 in the poll means nothing in terms of the "important" top 4... unless you are a conference champ.

It's going to put pressure on the voters to keep them there if Boise wins out. Also going to be hard to justify moving say a 2 loss Colorado or ASU over them if they win out. BYU not so much, but losing at home to a 3-6 Kansas is way worse than losing to Oregon on the road. If Army beats ND...that would be hilarious. Would the voters have the balls to leapfrog Army all the way over Boise State and maybe knock them completely out. All Big 12 teams? Army would have just 1 big win but it's better than Boise. Plus the Big 12 is mostly mush, Colorado and ASU lol

I've paid less attention to college football this year since I was literally six years old. But when you talk about the CFP poll, isn't that a bunch of SEC and BiG hacks smoking cigars figuring out a way to distribute the money that benefits them most?

Being #4 in the poll means nothing in terms of the "important" top 4... unless you are a conference champ. It's still a big difference because if BSU was ranked #4 in the poll, they would still have a shot at staying in the CFP even with a loss. They would just potentially lose their 1st round bye with a loss. Where they are ranked in the poll now, one loss and both Army and a Big 12 team could pass them and leave them out.
