I didn't watch it, but...6 points in Q3?! That's what lost them the game, right? Outscored CSU in 2 of the other 3 quarters. Scored 16, 18 and 19 in the other 3 quarters. Can't have long lapses like that against decent teams, let alone good teams.

Day after, nah, morning after thoughts. Team showed improvement from game 1 to game 2. I got mine last night. Mine what? The thing I like the most "Player Growth and Development." AJ, Kelsey, Kennedi, and Sela, provided leadership that stems from their own confidence which is a byproduct of growth/development. So often I get player brand/hype confused with player growth/development. There were multiple times last night when I sensed AJ/Kelsey/Kennedi/Sela put the time on their collective backs and carried the entire team on their back. Felt proud when each of those players started playing to their own strengths. They each have strengths on offense and defense.

I watched the replay of the game last night and I totally agree with you brewster. Our 4 returnees all had solid games and totally carried the team. They got little help from the newcomers who scored 8 pts on 3-15 shooting. Cat moved well and looked the best of the newcomers and made 2 3's. None of the other newbies impressed me at all. I was hoping for something out of Ally but she looked totally overmatched.

final score: CSU 65 - OSU 59 My thought is we have average forewards and posts our pt guard play needs to lead and carry the rest. If not we might struggle. Schedule will hurt us to much imbalance starting a brand new crew without a great lead. Good coaches however but lost alot of talent. I wonder how much at TCU Donavon will play. Their is alot of competition for her position. It would be nice if she had stayed. Some of our freshman stars last year had a great surrounding cast. It remains to be scene except our two super stars how the others will turn out. These kids can still make the big dance. To bad about the mass exodus. IF Rueck stays for more years he will again stand out if he really wants to deal with this challenge. Because he can recruit and play good team ball. |

Might also say they beat us with two players doing almost all the scoring. Basically 2 agsinst 5. Isnt that a bit of a botched defensive situation? Seems a bit strange. That seems problematic. Just at first sight? They must have had superior speed or execution? Puzzling. What did it look like for those who saw the game?

Impressive recruiting? Wow wonder how did we miss scouting this team.We laid an egg? We are going to face this alot in pre season schedule. That schedule is very tough. |

Watched Colorado St. against BYU the other day. Cougars pretty well shut down the Ronsiek sisters, 19 combined, less than half their average. Some other players stepped up, but not enough. After a poor first half, BYU dominated the second half and won by double digits.
