OK first half for the first game of the season. Rees has as many rebounds as CSU. She and Marotte appear to be the go to players. Defense is very much a work in progress.

The Ronsiek sisters make a tough pair to play against. Agreed - Emma had an excellent career at Creighton and probably could have chosen from a lot of programs but opted to play at CSU with her sister. |

On the road against a decent team. It's a learning experience. But the defensive miscues are just as bad as the first game. The Ronsiek sisters getting 3's so open that no one even tried to go after them.
Not sure about feeding the ball inside to Rees instead of Heide. Heide has the softer hands, height and heft so it's hard to knock her around so much. Annoying that Rees got knocked around every time she got the ball down low and never got a call.
Overall no great progress from the last game except for Cat hitting some threes, and Shuler is more comfortable shooting and seems like she will have some success.

My take right now is this is A.Js, Kelsey, Kennedies, and Seal's team. Couple of others like Cat, Tiara, and Ally will emerge to make this an interesting team within a few weeks. Fun to be back watching OSU WBB.

My take right now is this is A.Js, Kelsey, Kennedies, and Seal's team. Couple of others like Cat, Tiara, and Ally will emerge to make this an interesting team within a few weeks. Fun to be back watching OSU WBB. From the exhibition watch to the play-by-play and post game writeup it appears this team will be challenged offensively. The CSU 2 qtr slump seems to have kept this a closer game than it might have been. Some ugly D leads to only 65 points, but 59 points even early on is a bit worrisome. It will definitely be a season of growing pains. |

It will definitely be a season of growing pains. And the worst part is once again we’ll lose the core of the team next season. Aside from maybe Ferreira its hard to see anyone else contributing much. It’s unfortunate Rueck wasn’t able to find anyone impactful because AJ, Kennedie, and Rees is a solid WCC core (and Sela should be solid too). Will likely struggle against teams with bigs that can stretch the floor. Lots of room to improve, especially defensively. Offensive limitations might be hard to overcome with this personnel. |

Most of the players on the roster only averaged a few points a game last season. It is not a surprise that they will be offensively challenged this season
