I will agree with the last bit. I think that he was hurt in the Nevada game or at sometime between the Colorado State and Nevada games. McCoy just has not looked right. But much the same way that I was critical of Riley rushing Mannion back and starting him over Vaz against Washington in 2012, I am critical of this coaching staff starting McCoy three games that he was not right. And thinking back to Riley, I was upset with Riley playing Mannion for three quarters against Washington. And Gundy started McCoy three straight games, even after McCoy played like a literal dumpster fire against both Nevada and UNLV. I just cannot believe that McCoy was still out there stinking it up against Cal. How does that make any sense? And as to ruining confidence, if Mannion's confidence was not ruined after being benched for Washington, Arizona State, Stanford, and Texas, McCoy's not going to sweat being benched for San Jose State, Air Force, Wazzu, and Boise. I still am not sold that McCoy is the future. I am more optimistic that Johnson is the quarterback of the future. Gulbranson still seems like the quarterback of the present to me. Do you think Johnson might be getting redshirted and that's why he's not getting playing time? Sounds like a problem with the wife at home, .......that is what she said.

Do you think Johnson might be getting redshirted and that's why he's not getting playing time? Took a RS last season at Missouri. Listed as RS Fr now. Hoping he doesn't leave! I predict he will, if we keep starting Ben and not giving him adequate playing time.

USC at UW on the B1G network is weird, bad, evil, terrible I think it's great. Relegated to a nothing network instead of Fox or ABC/ESPN, which it would be if it were a Pac-12 game.

For the smart people on the board... is it possible that other coaching staffs are more seasoned and able to tweak their game plan (before and during) now that they have film, whereas our staff is too inexperienced? Granted, players poor performance doesn't help but coaches can breed confidence, or hurt it. Gundy is one of the most seasoned, experienced coaches in college football. So is Norvell at FSU. Their teams suck. Lance Leidholt at KU has won multiple national DIII titles and rebuilt a bad MAC program, but the Jayhawks are terrible. Brent Brennan did a good job at SJSU but is doing poorly at Arizona. You can't win without talent. We lost all of our experienced, talented defensive players and many of our experienced offensive players. Yes, we have talent. But it's young and developing.
