Saw on the Twitterverse there may have been a "secret scrimmage" with EWU this last weekend. Supposedly we "dominated" the affair. Not sure if there's anything to this or not, anyone know anything?

Another missed opportunity to promote MBB by OSU I don’t think they are allowed to. I don’t know rules about info given out about secret scrimmages, but Illinois provided no information about its scrimmage with Butler a week or two ago. I think they did release information that scrimmage was going to happen and Coach Underwood referenced in comments that he was looking forward to it as a barometer for where team as it, but that’s it. So you may well be correct about rules governing information about a secret scrimmage. Illini play Ole Miss tomorrow and it will be telecast on SECN at 12 ET. Will be good to get a look at the new team (Illini only have two holdovers from last year). I wish the Beavers scrimmage was being telecast, but at least we’ll see highlights. |

No wonder the NCAA is a failed organization after reading that bureaucratic trash. They actually had a debate 6 pages long over the merits of secret scrimmages. Just focking let the schools decide how to approach exhibition. Let them get some promotion and make a buck from these. No wonder conferences are falling apart. |
