Over managing by Cleveland, taking Boyd out for no apparent reason after 2 innings and 5 K’s. Every out is precious in an elimination game and now if one bullpen guys is off today you could cost yourself a trip to New York

Boyd started the day knowing he was pitching only 2 to 3 innings. He was throwing—and overthrowing a bit— on every pitch. Cleveland has the relief staff to pitch by committee. We will see if it is a good plan.

Actually this one is an error! Kwan being Kwan. Put the ball in play - hard up the middle or deep in an outfield corner, and deep in the count. Just a pest in the box. If the rest of the Guards lineup were doing the same they might have a lead. |
