Beavs placed 4th among 15 teams with Kate Laurent leading the team finishing at 11th place (PR 20:18.6).
One thing they do in Eugene is have Community races on the same day where anyone can sign up to run - that probably generates a bunch of local interest and seems like a great idea.
Utah really cleaned up placing 2-3-5-6-9-(15-24), uo took 2nd, Nebraska 3rd.

I just want to mention that Cross country is the only true running thread! 😁

I just want to mention that Cross country is the only true running thread! 😁 Does that mean the VB thread needs a beverage sponsor and be the "spiked" thread? 🤔

At first I was disappointed with their finish, but they're getting better. The grouping is not as wide as it used to be. Laurent either had a bad day or was maybe hurt, and there are a maybe a couple more runners that dropped off this year for one reason or another. I'd say the team is progressing overall with more good to be seen next year.

I don't think anyone is going to nationals this year, but I could be wrong. Highest place was 49.

The roster has a good mix of frosh, soph, and jr runners. Not a lot of seniors. The current frosh and soph classes were well thought of, but it seems to take 2 or 3 years to develop. Even then, not all develop as hoped.
