I put this out there because it was reported. I didn't write the guy up because I haven't been able to verify it anywhere else. The geography makes it suspect and the player ranking makes it even more suspect.

Maybe they believe they are getting in on the ground floor of a very projectable future dawg? |

Rather surprising, but it is now confirmed - he's a Beav. He's showing up as committed on PG, PBR, Tennessee Baseball.com, BB Factory and his social media sites. It might be fun to pursue a possible blood line to Darwin's Dad's side of the family. There might be some sort of connection there. It was mentioned he was Darwin's son - maybe he is related to Darwin.
Active in travel ball and on the tournament circuit but only ranked #72 on the Tennesse Top-100 by PG.
Grew 5" and gained 30+ pounds in last 3 years. Excellent athlete played varsity baseball and basketball as a soph in '23-24. He has an identical twin brother. also a good athlete.
Trust the coaches - they see something they really like and can project here. Hidden in the dark corner of the closet is something else - he is also a LHP.

I believe what was answered "no" was specifically to Darwin being his Dad . We all knew that wasn't possible. If you re-read my post, you will see I am suggesting that Kael could possibly be related some way to Darwin through the Paternal side of Darwin's family. What prompted that line of inquiry is that the original announcement made a connection to Darwin for Kael and may have just made the wrong connection of "Dad", instead of cousin or cousin once removed.
The question: Is Kael Barney in any way related to Darwin Barney ?
That's what we need to answer.
