My roomie who is older ( 70s ) and wiser did make a lot of sense when I told him I would root against Smith . He said that Smith did what he had to do . His career would go nowhere after the P12 broke up . He thinks that the P2 won't be able to draw any big time schools to the conference and nobody will watch MWC teams play and broadcasters wont pay to show the games like they will the Michigan's , Ohio States , Oregon , etc so he would lose a lot of publicity . Maybe he is right I don't know but it still sucks He was making $4,000,000 a year here, and was the most popular guy in Corvallis. What can you realistically do with $7,000,000 that you can't do with 4? Publicity wise, attention wise, he's only going to be a middle of the pack guy at best in the Midwest, behind the guys at Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and even Notre Dame. Yep....he goes from being the MAN in Corvallis to bitch tits in east landfill if he doesn't win. That extra money means those people want a return on their investment, and pretty quick. I mean I get the "shoot your shot" argument, but he didn't go to a great situation, and he burned his Corvallis privileges in the process. I always said we want to be Whitinghams Utah.....for a moment I thought we had that. Bitch tits proved he is no Whittingham......I actually think Bray is more Whittingham....both LB's too. |

Yeah, I know they rolled all over us, but MSU looks really miserable. I didn't think we looked this bad. Pretty close I think. We got a couple TDs iirc. Sparty's heading for a 0fer. |
