Is it just me and my fading memory, or didn't the Beavers play the Ducks better? MSU looks pathetic. The last time they played ? No, I think Oregon steam rolled us too Yeah, I know they rolled all over us, but MSU looks really miserable. I didn't think we looked this bad.

Michigan State is playing the heart of the Big ten and it's showing . I am not a coaching expert by any shot by I don't think Smith , Chiles or Velling bring anything to MSU , maybe the Big ten

Does MSU have a better QB and shouldnt they bring him out ? As I recall, Michigan State had 3 quarterbacks enter the portal right after they hired he whose name is not spoken. So I don't think they have anybody else to fall back on. That's a good thing.

Without those two interceptions, the Ducks would really be whooping Sparty and bitch tits. Probably should be 35-0.

Am I overreaching by predicting that MSU will not get better under Smith and his tenure there will be short lived ? I could see him back as an assistant coach somewhere in the next ten years

My roomie who is older ( 70s ) and wiser did make a lot of sense when I told him I would root against Smith . He said that Smith did what he had to do . His career would go nowhere after the P12 broke up . He thinks that the P2 won't be able to draw any big time schools to the conference and nobody will watch MWC teams play and broadcasters wont pay to show the games like they will the Michigan's , Ohio States , Oregon , etc so he would lose a lot of publicity . Maybe he is right I don't know but it still sucks He was making $4,000,000 a year here, and was the most popular guy in Corvallis. What can you realistically do with $7,000,000 that you can't do with 4? Publicity wise, attention wise, he's only going to be a middle of the pack guy at best in the Midwest, behind the guys at Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and even Notre Dame.

I can't imagine MSU fans happy with the QB situation there. As I sort of suspected...our biggest losses in the transfer portal probably weren't at QB.

Did Pennsylvania go in the geography portal and move to the Midwest?

But I think they will improve quite a bit under Smith. Why do you think he could do it in Corvallis but not at Mich St? Sure we hate him, but he’s a good coach. Chiles will develop, and for their sake hopefully will learn to not turnover the ball so much.

Chiles keeps getting sacked he might walk off the field himself and turn it over to the next man up

MSU won't be as forgiving as OSU was with shortcomings. js was the goldenboy coming home. in East Lansing he is just another coach with high expectations.
