Even the NFL is short on NFL talent at the QB spot. The QB play has been horrible in the league this year. I wonder how much of it has to do with the fact fewer and fewer college QB's are being developed to make anything more than a simple read and if it's not there then pull out and run the ball.

Five different players have taken snaps for the Beavs in the past two years, and none of them have had even moderate success passing the ball. I'd say it's more the scheme than the players.

A lot I'd wager. I don't want to track it down, but I was reading an article about how NFL scout was complaining about how college QBs no longer know how to call audibles or operate out of a huddle. Heck, taking a snap under center is even new to many of them.

The most successful passer of the last two years was so bad at it that they changed him into a WR. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
