Good for her. I'm sure she will still practice but take some time to enjoy your final year of college. You can't get it back. A gold medal would probably get you a free cable-char burger at Clod's.

Just to be clear here, Jade is still competing for the Beavers this coming season. She's taking a break from elite gymnastics, not NCAA gymnastics.

Doesn’t seem to me the OSU athletics and marketing departments have done enough to market Jade in her time here at OSU. She is a frickin 2 time Olympic gold medalist and should be one of the faces of the university

I can't say enough superlatives about her competitive excellence and her world-renowned achievements. However, one component of "marketing" any athlete is how much that athlete (and in this instance her coach/father as well) wants to be "marketed".
