I hope we can keep him in the fold. A legit 7 footer who's apparently athletic with basketball skills is a precious commodity.

Excellent! He's coming from a legit competitive league in the bay area (WCAL). West Catholic league has solid athletes. Jack is coming from Serra High. Lynn Swann, Barry Bonds, Jim Fregosi, Tom Brady,.................................and.........and Jeremiah Masoli (cough, cough, cough.....just took a hit) are Serra alums.
I think Ben Kone is from Mitty High which is a member of the WCAL.
Looks like Coach Tinkle and staff are getting it done!
Now, if Coach Andersen can tap into some athletes from this league and area.
Go Beavs!

for trivia purposes, Coach Tinkle has now gotten commitment from at least one 4* athlete for every recruiting class he has in OSU

Agree on the "keep him in the fold", though I did read in an earlier article it stated that he cancelled all of his other trips in favor of a return visit to OSU with his Mom. Sure sounds like a "I found what I was looking for" sort of deal, but there is plenty of time for folks to come whispering in his ear. Just hope that like attracts like, and he is drawn to Tinkle's integrity due to his own. It's a great day to be a Beaver!

An article I read had him stating something to the effect: Oregon State has the qualities I want. I have thought it over there is no chance I will decommit and I am not looking elsewhere. This is probably the strongest wording I have ever seen in a verbal commit. I am optimistic that he will come and that he will have a good career at Oregon State. I am looking forward to it.
Other interesting tidbit was the video I saw of Wilson were of him playing against Kone's high school team. So there were highlights of both Wilson and Kone.
