Not only are they winless but 18 fans were ejected Saturday. But the 18 is an improvement 32 were ejected against Miami. Florida hasn't recovered since we kicked their butts.

That should have pumped the team up to win! Like WSU fans at the Apple Cup. Maybe Gator fans weren’t pissed enough!

The thing about Florida is they get insane recruiting classes every year. They will be just fine. They just need the right staff.

Florida State started 0-3 in 2021 (two three-point losses to Notre Dame and Jacksonville State and a 21-point loss to Wake Forest on the road). Florida started 2-1 in 2021. The last time that Florida started 1-2 was in 1992, the first year of the 12-team SEC. Florida beat Kentucky but lost to Tennessee and Mississippi State on the road. Despite the start, Florida still won the East and played in the inaugural SEC Championship Game, losing to eventual champion Alabama by a touchdown. Florida State started 3-0 in 1992. In 1947, both Florida and Florida State started 0-3. 0-6 together. Florida lost to Mississippi, North Texas, and Auburn. Florida was mired in a 13-game losing streak at the time. Florida, like most Land Grant Universities, suffered mightily during World War II. (Navy schools tended to do better than Army schools in football, during World War II, because the Army generally refused to allow men in the Army to play football, while enlisted during the War.) From 1904-1947, Florida State was a women's-only college. 1947 was Florida State's first year as a coed university. Florida State lost to Stetson, Cumberland, and Tennessee Tech to open the season. The last time that Florida went winless was 1979, 0-10-1. Florida went a perfect 0-9 in 1946, which was touched on above. Florida State was 0-11 in 1973. The governor of Florida in 1947 was Millard Caldwell. Caldwell served in the artillery in World War I. Caldwell served in the Florida Legislature from 1930-1932. Caldwell served in Congress from 1933-1941, advocating for the cessation of selling armaments to Japan and for simultaneously expanding both the Army and Navy. Caldwell served as governor from 1945-1949. On V-J day, Caldwell issued a proclamation, urging all bars and alcohol-selling establishments to close to prevent celebratory drunkenness. Caldwell served as the administrator of the Federal Civil Defense Administration from 1950-1952. Caldwell finished his final seven years of public life as a justice and then chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court. Larry Jones finished 1973 with an 0-11 record at Florida State, and the Seminoles were also placed on probation. Florida State hired Darrell "Dr. Victory" Mudra as head coach. Despite the fact that Mudra improved the first two seasons and was on probation for those years, Florida State fired Mudra and hired Bobby Bowden. Charley Pell was a first-year head coach at Florida in 1979, and the Gators finished 0-10-1. Florida went to a bowl game each of the next four years: Tangerine, Peach, Bluebonnet, and Gator. But Pell was fired three games into the 1984 season for a myriad of violations. Florida won the SEC in 1984, but the Championship was subsequently vacated. The Gators were on probation in 1984 and 1985.
