- Last year the CW only had a few bottom-tier ACC games to show, yet it still outperformed FS1, where a lot of Pac12 games were. (About 500k/game).
- The CW is available in more households than any other sports outlet.
- This guy's rev-per-view estimate is $3.76. So if the new Pac can average, say, 750k/game, then our revenue package would be worth about $16.9m/school. (750k*3.76*6)
He considers this year's deal with the CW to be very good for the CW - but he likes it for us, as well. "While the financial hit was brutal, the visibility upgrade is somehow even more of a landslide by degree."

If that is our real rate, we made about $1.4M hosting Idaho state. That ain't bad.
I think it would be a tall order to average 750K across everybody. I think OSU/WSU can at the end of the day with all games, but this comes back to why we need a game like Oregon with 3+million viewers to add leverage. Boise state games will be draws, particularly rivalry games. bud we'd need flashy games to offset a few duds, and we'd need big home OOC games which will be the challenge.
But I really think the $15M+ media package ain't out of the question. It is why we are being REALLY choosy right now.
I am hearing between $10-15 million per school, with estimates on the high side of the window.
It would stand to reason, if the "rate per view" is widely known to insiders. and it is that 3.76 value give or take. the range is the estimate of what the average viewership will be. That is the source of all these valuation estimates
A lowside estimate will be an average of 350,000. That is basically $8M or what the MWC was currently doing. We will obviously be doing better than that.
I think a conservative mid point is 500K average viewers. That would be about $11.2M
an achievable high side with good teams playing well is 750K average viewers. Which means having games like Oregon and UW on the schedule that are high leverage games that give you 2-3 million view bump. and gives you that nearly $17M.
I am curious about the Basketball deals. We have some appealing basketball schools too.
