I was pondering the future of our beloved beavers (and college sports in general). With an extremely inexperienced coaching staff and new players it's gonna take some time to build a solid program but wait...... we don't know who will be here next year.
How in the world can you build a program with the roster flex? It's like building a dam that keeps blowing out in different sections. Solution? Having deep pockets; ability to keep better talent (mercenaries) on the field. That said, schools like us will struggle to be competitive. What I'm saying is not new, just using the board to lament.
Our best chance is to hope that we have hungry players going against a team of Ezekiel Elliots.
Hopefully contracts will become part of this new age in sports to help smaller franchises errr programs, but in the end I'm not sure if it's any different than it has been. 0 is the exception in that money has altered their prospects.
