Obviously we don't have a benefactor like Phil Knight and we can't and won't pay for recruits so we don't get the kind of talent and goodies that the Ducks do but shouldn't we still be able to out recruit the new " Little brothers " of the conference and have brighter shinier goodies than our new little brothers and shouldn't that mean an Oregon type dominance over our new little brothers ? I know it may not mean much to the rest of the country and the media but could it help improve how the media and the rest of the country might see us ? Make them take us seriously for once ?

Possibly, but I surely don't want to refer to the Beavs that way. I found it offensive to be on the other side of that and find it as offensive were the tables flipped. The Beavs may find that they are getting many more shinies, but let's not become like the tools that root for that little program in Eugene. |

We already are Big Brother. Founded before Hole and our mascot is on the state flag. U of Hoe had to steal Disney’s mascot and get rich off the back of kids working in Nike sweatshops in 3rd world countries. Very sad.

We're older, bigger by 12k students, enroll more Oregonians, have three times the research budget and serve every single county in the state through the Extension Service. We are the educational big brother. A land, sea, space and sun-grant university > a sports grant university. |
