I'd be ecstatic with 50+% completions, 7+yds per attempt, and keeping the TD/INT ratio within -1. If we can get the MM who played in last year's CW and we can get the overall offense that gave Garretson these kinds of stats against Minnesota and Blount these kinds of stats against BSU, then you'd think it would not be a problem. Well, maybe not necessarily against UW in Seattle this year, but soon if not today. Go Beavs! Mike '84

No, actually I "want" to be proven worng. What truly bothers me Jay, is all the people that come on and talk how the coaching staff is "against Marcus" and how "he hasn't had a fair shot" and it's always someone else's fault!!! No! Bulls%#t! He just isn't good enough! Period! Go Beavs! Hey genius. Burton hasn't seen McMaryion since FALL CAMP. You have no idea whatsoever what made Blount 2nd string and McMaryion 3rd string. He just has to get rid of the ball and not hold on to it too long (waiting for his receivers to get open). He's got the best arm of all the current OSU QBs. But you've seen him? And you "know"? "Genius"! OK. Go Beavs!

Since you're a sensible poster who can talk about football objectively and not hurl insults at posters for their opinions, I wanted to comment on you post here. I like your optimism and I hope what you're saying will happen of course (I'm a Beaver fan too) however what I have seen from McMaryion from last season all the way through last Spring leads me to believe otherwise. If he proves me wrong and plays well (takes care of the football and doesn't turn it over, hits at or above 50% of his passes, avoids some pressures/throws the ball away when he can, and can lead the offense to score some points-even 2 or 3 TDs against this Husky's D) then I'd be happy that he played well and be willing to admit I was wrong. I guess we'll have to see? Hope you're right Mike! Go Beavs!

Funny a guy who says we should blindly support a coaching staff without a negative word even though they have made numerous blunders in 1.5 years on the job... now attacks the new starting QB!! Weird. Seems a bit backward. Just verifying that you're not talking to/about me. I was the one with the thread a few days back about supporting the coach (although I did not say we should never say a negative word and only suggested that it would be unhelpful to be predicting failure of the coach already). I was also the one that started this thread, but my post included two comments on MM -- one negative from Burton and one positive from Parker. So, I'll assume you are talking to/about gobeavs92 and some past confrontation you've had about negativity. Go Beavs! Mike '84 Mike, it wasn't you. There's been one mostly upbeat poster here that has been praising the coaching staff and calling anyone that points out there's been shortcomings so far haters or Riley lovers. Suddenly the guy trashes a player, just seems out of character, that's all.
