I noticed on Saturday while walking to Reser that the RF bleachers are gone. Does anyone know what the plan is there? Are they going to be replaced with something more permanent as part of the CF baseball facility construction?

They eventually want to put permanent seats in right, but as of now, they will continue with the temporary ones. The hitting facility was a higher priority.

Are they going to be replaced with something more permanent as part of the CF baseball facility construction? They are removed every year, so they can be considered a "temporary accommodation." If they left them up, they would be considered a "permanent" structure and be subject to many more rules about access, ADA compliance, etc. My personal preference would be to replace the entire main grandstand above the concourse with a brand new, top-loading structure with a press box and suites running from first base to third base. That would remove the stairwells from the concourse and make for a much more smooth-flowing facility. The upper concourse if very fan-unfriendly.

It would be awesome to have a concourse/seating all the way around the field. It's pretty lame for folks who get the RF bleacher seats to not be able to access Goss proper. You will notice that the bleachers will be packed, and many of the premium seats are empty. I think the RF bleacher folks are often coming from out of town, and probably don't get to attend a lot of Beaver games. That experience needs to be better for them, imo.

The experience needs to be better for those spending $500 on a season ticket, too.

Goss season tix are a bargain! And, will continue to be depending on future schedules.
It's one of the best priced college baseball venues on the west coast. It's not football. It's not the SEC.
Major improvements to Goss are pretty much shelved due to AD uncertainty. Unless a donor pays baseball isn't getting much more in facility upgrades for some time.

UW season tickets cost $99 for bleacher seats, $235 for chairback seats and $465 for luxury seating. WSU's are also much lower. Oregon's are available for $250. I have an excellent seat. Compared to our regional peers, I pay a lot for it. Not willingly, but I pay for it.

But, if you want to compare those programs and the tickets prices... You pay $500 for an average of 27-30 home events for a college baseball program that is a regular post season participant. Plus there is a rabid demand for said seats. Those other programs? Yeah not so much.

There are rules regarding restrooms, parking, etc. , that do not apply to a temporary structure. They work fine as they are.
