That could mean some great opportunities for GP2. But he isn't now nor has he ever been a true point guard lol.

He strikes me as a combo-type like McCollum up in Portland. A SG who can play PG (obviously McCollum's specialty is offense and GPII's is defense/rebounding. He'll really need to either increase his offensive skills or more likely his PG skills to last in the NBA.

That could mean some great opportunities for GP2. But he isn't now nor has he ever been a true point guard lol. It seems to me that he has the skills. I may be wrong, but I believe that he played SG primarly to conserve energy. In an offense with a true, SG, I think he could excel as a PG.

If he clears waivers, it looks like they are trying to re-assign him to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, their Development League affiliate.
