The Pack is currently up 24-13 with about 12 minutes left in the game, and they are driving down the field. Their QB, Lewis looks solid throwing, and running. Nevada is home, and entered the game a 27.5 underdog!
Go Wolfpack!!

Impressive drive by SMU, punching it in, and 2 pt. conversion, to make it a FG game 24-21. About 8 mins left. Hopefully the Pack can go on a nice long drive, and put this one away.

Tell ya what, Jeff Choate has the Wolfpack playing defense. Defensive backfield has made a ton plays tonight, and overall they have been flying to the ball.

NV loses 29-24
Big takeaway for me though, is Choate has the Wolfpack heading in the right direction. You could tell they don't know how to finish games, but they absolutely controlled the majority of this game

If ur wondering why I give a s%#t about Nevada, my wife and I lived in Carson City from '05 to '16, and we had season Tix to Wolfpack football....the Chris Ault days. My kids were born in NV. Northern NV holds a special place in my heart. I'd love for OSU and UNR to have a healthy regional rivalry so I'm kind of excited to see them look like a competent football program.

No offense, but I'd rather the rivalry consisted of us crushing them every time we play. I'd like the next four games against them to go something like this: OSU 49 UNR 0 OSU 42 UNR 0 OSU 6 UNR 2 (the Great Safety War of 2035) OSU 56 UNR 3

They need some consistency. That's the biggest challenge for schools like NV. They have success it all gets poached real quick

Nevada looked better than probably everyone expected. But it's been said that bad teams find a way to lose and that's exactly how this game wound up. We'll see where it stands by the time the Beavers head to Reno.

We'll see where it stands by the time the Beavers head to Reno. For a team that was picked to finish last in the conference by the media, it was really a pretty dang good showing by UNR. I agree with you that they are still learning how to win though. I remember watching the first couple years of Riley 1 and seeing a bunch of those games. I still irrationally hate Cade McNown.
