They would have to add a second team to make football work, unless something changes between now and then. But they are talking about 2031 for football. UConn would unbalance baseball, which would generally be to Oregon State's benefit. I note that 2031 is when the Big 12 media deal runs out. Yormack does not miss a beat. |

Until conditions change or info comes out that is more concrete, talking about OSU joining the Big 12 is nothing more than PURE conjecture.

I think the relevance of 2031 is probably because the new Big East media deal expires then.
I don't think it has anything to do with the ACC or Oregon State.

2031 is also when the Big 12 media deal expires, which makes even more sense in this context because the Big 12 can wait until then to add UConn football.
But some people are pointing to the Big East media deal and saying not so fast as far as UConn being able to just bail.
