I don't blame him for leaving. Coach left, new system, no conference, a lot of uncertainty. And OSU and the MWC are modest in terms of big time college football. And I'm not sad he's gone. He'll never live up to the hype. As much as I was rooting for him here, I was not impressed with him. Any glaze he got from me was because of orange colored glasses and hope. Big (arm and body), inaccurate arm, plodding runner. Dan McGwire 2.0. DJ' first half after OSU: So - 10th ranked FSU loses to unranked GT

Guess DJU was “blunted by a modest performance” today against a modest team on a modest platform being Week 0. Way to go.

DJU's destinations: Clemson, Oregon State, Florida State. If nothing else, he brought us a lot of credibility, and I thank him for that.

Agree, or not...I'm sure MANY WILL..... the "kid" doesn't play with ENOUGH emotion. NO sense of urgency. "Cool" is cool. "Too cool" is COLD.

The guy was 19-27 for about 10 yards a completion. He led FSU on a key touchdown drive when he was allowed to throw the ball. There were a lot of run plays that GT stuffed and the Yellow Jackets made plays on offense. This loss was not at all on DJU but he'll no doubt get the blame from a lot of the FSU fans anyway.

There were some at Clemson and even oregon state that said it wasn't dju's fault, ever. Nice guy, but...

Have to love the DJU 20/20 hindsight "haters" here. Didn't hear too much negative when a guy with a few months in a new system, with a HC accused of having one foot out the door, lead a fairly mediocre team to an 8-4 record. Sounds a lot like the WBB board... from the greatest kids on earth to complete losers because they made personal choices to hopefully better themselves in supposedly better situations. I'm guessing GaTech's swarming D had zero to do with FSU's offensive struggles. Plus I'm sure DJU was at fault for the FSU D being on the field the last 6:33. As for a specific performance... FSU is basically a new team. And, OSU will take DJU's # today vs a very good every game this season. Thats the reason its called hindsight. easy to complain after the fact lol

DJU may not be equal to the hype but he didn’t get a good QB coach in JS. Now had Riley been around, I think he might’ve stood a better chance. All in all, DJU has done himself no favors by jumping from program to program. But he has pocketed a fair amount of money in the past few years, so he’s got that.

Many complained about his lack of seeing wide open receivers in time or at all, and that he would spend forever in the pocket before making a decision. Our o-line was definitely not mediocre. Our run game wasn’t either. Our passing game was mediocre. 190 yards and zero TD’s? I hope our coaches don’t want to take those numbers

Well he averaged just under 220 yards a game at OSU and had 193 today. And the Beavers averaged 167 yards a game rushing. FSU had under 100 yards rushing today and he was sacked a few times (not sure on the total). So far it doesn't seem as if he is in a better situation.

I got the sense his dad wanted a bigger market to support his NIL biz.
