I read the story. They sat through a two hour weather delay, resumed play, played for 44 seconds, and the lightning forced them to stop play again. Iowa apparently expected OSU to stick around overnight and continue play the next day. OOF. In other words, nonsense.

They played Montana on Sunday after that game was on Thursday?? Iowa was also still in town on Sunday to play Colorado College. Montana played Colorado College Friday morning. So I'm guessing between the weather and other games scheduled one could probably have found a way to complete a game on Friday after the Montana/Colorado College 10am game or all day on Saturday IF both programs wanted to??

I'd love to know more about what the reasoning for not finishing the game was. Did the players not want to play? Were they asked? If it was a player decision to just abandon the first game of the season......I'm concerned.

I really do not want to get into a long, boring, stupid, and ultimately pointless wrangle over this, friend. I will just agree to disagree and call it good.

Lol....not much to disagree with when part of your premise was the expectation of OSU staying the night. When in fact they did for two and had an open couple dates?
