The Harwich Mariners won their 6th Cape Cod League title with a 15-7 win over the Brewster Whitecaps.
"Then came the knockout blow: a grand slam from Harwich Catcher, Wilson Weber (Oregon State), which sailed just over the outstretched glove of a leaping Dallas Macias (Oregon State) in leftfield."

Baseball America ranked the prospects on the Cape: Are the rest of the rankings as good as the beginning? Depends how one looks at it?! It's a Cape Cod list, not nearing an overall list of high quality SS. AA will probably be around or just outside the top 10 college SS?? But, 6-8 of the top HS prospects are SS. He's a great pickup for OSU and it's nice he received some publicity. He's not a "high" draft guy. But, who cares as long as he plays well this season! |
