This will be nice for our annual game up there against UP. More seating, nicer stadium. I'm told the old stadium won't be torn down, even though the reason for its existence no longer exists.
I expect it will also meet all triple-A specifications for when baseball expands to 32 and needs two more affiliates, or one to replace either Sacramento or Las Vegas in the PCL when the Athletics finally figure out where they are going.
Still waiting on what will happen to the Emeralds, since the voters turned down their funding plans. Not many locations on the West Coast with a an MiLB-ready stadium for them to move to. Keizer, possibly, but nobody wants to work with the guy who holds the lease to the venue.
