I should also have mentioned Christian Chamberlain who is currently rehabbing from a UCL surgery and won't play this year. Prior to his spring training injury, Christian was rated as high as the #3 prospect in the Royals system. Kansas City fast-tracked him from High-A Quad Cities to AAA before bringing him up with the big club for spring training this year. There were several references about him sticking in the "Bigs" this year and that the Royals think highly of his ability to retire MLB hitters. Last year he touched 97 mph and his sweeping slider gets top grades from their scouts. They are enamoured with his "whiff" potential and his 13.7 K/9 stat over his entire MiLB career.
