My understanding was that he was at 2B because Cam Clayton was at SS and otherwise he would have been there... If that were true, though, why would the Huskies move him to second, as opposed to third? I find it hard to believe that a guy who does not have a good enough arm to play third in Seattle has a good enough arm to beat out Trosky at third in Corvallis. Not going to argue with you about that, but I didn't suggest he plays 3B, someone else did, I'm pretty confident that's Trent's spot. I believe Trosky 2B, Arquette SS, Trent 3B

2b Trosky 3b Arquette ss Singer dh Carraway Arquette is a great second baseman, but does he really have the arm to play on the left side of the infield? I know that Trosky can cover third easily. Uh....

I'm going with TAMatrix. 3B is Trent's spot, at least to start the season. 1B may be an option with injuries, or even DH for a day off. Trent's glove and arm were superb before his injury, and he just did not seem to get his throwing accuracy back. But I am confident he will.

And, FWIW... 6 of his 9 errors were (.823) were before the injury.

Caraway was an excellent SS throughout his prep career. In every scouting report I saw leading up to the '23 draft, he was projected as an excellent 3B prospect. Given his injury and freshman season disruption I would withold judgement on his fielding ability until we see how he defends this year with last year behind him.
I'm sure he can be converted to play 1B, but I think that might be a waste of a potentialy good 3B glove and do you really want give away a 94 mph (MLB average is 90) infield velo arm by playing him at 1B ?
I hope we haven't given up on Krieg?
