Jack Hostetler looks like a good add. I would still like to see at least one more lefty eventually.

Jack Hostetler looks like a good add. I would still like to see at least one more lefty eventually. The real "issue" so far... he's not May or Kmatz. No one returning projects to those two and their performance in '24. OSU had plenty of questions going into '24 and many were answered in the positive. Some not. As of now... far more questions, too many to even begin to consider at this point. A long summer and Fall to see what comes about. Talk of why more folks didn't pick OSU for the "too early" Omaha is a bit ridiculous. As of now it's this roster Top 20? Would our fans look at another team losing who we are, with the current roster Top 8? Top 20? Bet not... I'm betting there would be a thread pages long if it were a SEC in a similar state. But, to each...

But, to each... Keljo seems to be going towards starter. Segura improves and he's definitely a strong starter. Decreamer projected as a starter but hard to say much without seeing a pitch in Goss. Transfer portal is far from done, well have to see what gifts arrive. Also have to remember that May had good stuff but didn't have great stats yet.

But, to each... The real thing of it is that absolutely no one has any idea who is staying or not, because the draft is still in 11 days. I agree that with the thrust of your final paragraph. We will see who is still here after the draft signing deadline.

But, to each... That is very true. However, at this time last year, May was not May, he was a transfer with a 6+ ERA at his previous school, and Kmatz was coming off a 5-4, 4.71 season. Their 2023 performances certainly didn't project to what they did in 2024. Hopefully he can develop like May and Kmatz did.

But, both were dietitian experienced Pac12 starters. But in those terms I guess we don't need experienced "Pac12" starters?!

"Gaming" the roster right now is complicated if not futile. There are too many unknowns to develop a clear picture. We have two transfers in the Portal that need clarification - did they leave OSU by mutual consent or is their Portal entry "exploritory in nature"? Can they return to OSU? How many '24 roster players will sign professional contracts ... five? six? seven? What impact will the draft have on our three MLB pitching prospects in this new recruiting class? We're several weeks away from having a good idea what our roster and specifically, starting pitchers might look like this fall. It's possible we could have as many as 7 candidates for the rotation.
