Before the season started, it was July at the earliest. Supposedly, Rasmussen threw a little more than five weeks ago. I have not heard how that went, though, or if the timeline has changed.

Rasmussen's return has just been listed as "late 2024". ESPN fantasy baseball app has an estimated return date for him listed at 9/1/24. He hasn't come close to a rehab assignment yet, and I would bet he gets at least 3 or 4 rehab starts given the length of time off before he returns to the rotation. If the Rays are out of the playoff hunt then I could see them possibly pushing him out till next season as a precaution.
