Well that's nice of her to say.
I think she's mostly right, except what both schools could've done is be better at football, and men's basketball over the years. Wazzu's geography is always a limiting factor. Corvallis isn't great geographically either, but at least it's near the I5 corridor, and in the Willamette valley.

I expected her to ended it with "Once a Pac-12 broadcaster all ways a pac-12 broadcaster" 
She will do fine at the Big 10 network (Btw, You should all respect her decision  )
..........I’m also continuing my broadcasting career. As of July, I’ll be covering college football for the Big Ten Network. I look forward to sharing the stories of four schools I already know and love — Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington......

Boston College and Boston University graduate. She appears to have lived in Massachusetts, New York, and Indiana before starting out on the Pac-12 Network.
Nice of her to mention us at all. I have been involved in firms that have imploded. She is handling it with more magnanimity than I have in the past.

But, at the end of the day, it is, and almost always is, follow the money. In her career, she had other choices. If she really felt like the traitorous 10 were off base, and the SEC and B1G were off base and taking college football in the wrong direction - she could have pursued a different gig in the industry. But, in our world today, when it comes to money, very few are actually willing to stand on principle. Selling out is the norm. |
