No one posted about 3 latest committed over the weekend. It was exciting news. Found out from facebook’s pure orange. Here is Nick's article on 2 of them from Monday's Oregonian. I had to chuckle at the headline---It's now a huge recruiting weekend when we get 2 "3-star" players to sign with us---How times have changed! Oregon State has big Sunday on 2025 football recruiting trail with 2 three-star commitments Updated: Jun. 24, 2024, 5:07 p.m.|Published: Jun. 23, 2024, 3:03 p.m. By Nick Daschel | The Oregonian/OregonLive Oregon State had a productive Sunday on the football recruiting trail as it received high school commitments from a safety and an offensive lineman. Sean Craig, rated as a three-star safety from Henderson, Nevada, committed to the Beavers during the morning. A few hours later, OSU received a pledge from Halafihi “Brian” Tapu, a 6-foot-7, 295-pound three-star offensive lineman from Salt Lake City. The additions of Craig and Tapu increase Oregon State’s 2025 recruiting class to seven players. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Craig is the Liberty High School teammate of linebacker Jeremiah Ioane, who committed to Oregon State earlier this spring. Craig visited the Corvallis campus the first weekend of June. Among schools to offer Craig were San Diego State, Washington State and Air Force. Craig was first team Class 5A Division I all-state in Nevada as a junior. Tapu, who made his commitment while visiting Oregon State this weekend, has a growing list of offers, which includes Texas A&M, Utah, Nebraska, Arkansas, Arizona and Arizona State. Tapu moved from New Zealand to Utah prior to the 2023-24 school year to play football. His parents continue to live in New Zealand. Earlier in June, Tapu made an official visit to Nebraska. Tapu is the third offensive lineman of Oregon State’s 2025 recruiting class, joining Jake Normoyle of West Linn and Noah Thomas of Vancouver. -- Nick Daschel can be reached at 360-607-4824, ndaschel@oregonian.com or @nickdaschel.

Ok Henry----they committed/pledged to us---sorry for the improper wording! It's not just nit-picking. There is a huge, huge, huge difference between making a verbal commitment and actually signing a LOI.

I don't get excited about who is coming in these days, because in a year or two, they may be headed right back out. That isn't a comment on the individual players or the OSU team. It's just a sign o' the times.
Oddly, to me, what broke my interest about this was the mass exodus of the women's basketball team. They had a shot to build a championship team, and they abandoned ship, for what? No loyalty from them, no loyalty from me, which has translated into indifference.
End of old guy rant. We thank you for your patience.
