Does she have a chance to make the team? If I remember correctly, her heat winning time was nearly 7 seconds slower than the winning time of Heat #2.

Can’t find it now but she was surprised to see she won. Said she was just trying to be in the top 3.

She is is the 6th qualifying position with a Olympic standard met... 1st is about 5.5 seconds faster... about 3 seconds slower than the 3rd qualifying time. But, the top runners are just trying to get into the Top 14, at least 4 runners have PRs below 9:19.0... - Jennings 9:18.03 - Markezich 9:17.36 - Constein 9:14.29 - Wayment 9:14.48 Her personal best is 9:21.00, so it'd be quite and achievement to even be the alternate. |

USATF sends the top 3 to Paris.
The first heat was slow and the top 3 basically jogged across the line.
If the final is another slow race and it comes down to the last lap, she’s got a decent chance.
